Fantasy Football Kicker Draft Rankings: Projections, tiers, and statistics

In fantasy football, the kicker spot is often treated like the forgotten stepchild of the lineup, sometimes even the butt of the joke. Managers love to roll their eyes or poke fun at anyone bold enough to burn an early draft pick on one.

Now, we're not saying you should be the trendsetter who grabs the first kicker off the board, but at the end of the day, points are points — and it doesn't matter what position they come from. Need proof? Last season, Chris Boswell and Brandon Aubrey each racked up over 170 fantasy points, outscoring names like Zay Flowers and new Broncos back J.K. Dobbins.

So maybe it’s time to ditch the idea that kickers are just a nuisance or a coin flip from week to week. Think of them instead as another weapon in your arsenal — one that could be the difference between squeaking out a win or going home empty-handed on Sunday night.

    Brandon Aubrey | Bye: Week 7 | Season Projections: 142.22 Points | Tier: 1

Aside from Brandon Aubrey, there isn’t a single kicker locked into a weekly must-start spot on this draft board, and yet fantasy managers keep falling for the myth that a high-octane offense automatically boosts kicker value.

Last season proved otherwise: just three of the top-10 kickers in 2024 ADP actually finished top 10 in fantasy scoring, and only Aubrey cracked the top five. In fact, the lone top-five fantasy kicker from a top-10 offense was Chase McLaughlin, a reminder that big point totals don’t always come from big-name offenses.

    Cameron Dicker | Bye: Week 12 | Season Projections: 143.73 Points | Tier: 1

Cameron Dicker enters 2025 as one of the more dependable legs in fantasy football. Fresh off a 2024 campaign where he ranked third among kickers in scoring, Dicker has built a reputation for nailing his field goals and extra points with impressive consistency. With the Chargers’ offense expected to keep humming — and Jim Harbaugh’s tendency to take the three points when they’re there — Dicker looks poised to remain a steady, high-floor option for fantasy managers.

    Tyler Bass | Bye: Week 8 | Season Projections: 141.25 | Tier: 1

Bass may have hit on just 82.8% of his field goals in 2024, but he still tied for ninth in scoring with 131 points. He was flawless from beyond 50 yards and carried that momentum into the postseason, drilling all six of his playoff attempts.

    Chris Boswell | Bye: Week 5 | Season Projections: 138.2 Points | Tier: 2

Chris Boswell shocked the fantasy world in 2024, edging Brandon Aubrey for the top kicker spot by setting career highs in field goal tries and makes, while nailing all 35 extra points. Benefiting from Pittsburgh’s middling offense and strong defense, the veteran thrived in a perfect storm that kept him busy all year.

Heading into 2025, though, Boswell’s outlook changes with Aaron Rodgers now running the show. Rodgers’ knack for finishing drives in the red zone — unlike the struggles of Justin Fields and Russell Wilson last year — could cut into Boswell’s opportunities, invoking what many fans call the “Mason Crosby rule”: great kicker, fewer chances.

    Matt Gay | Bye: Week 12 | Season Projections: 139.9 Points | Tier: 2

With Jayden Daniels steering the ship, Washington’s offense could be sailing into even smoother waters in 2025, especially after adding Laremy Tunsil and Deebo Samuel this offseason. Gay didn't miss a single kick inside 50 yards last year and finished with a flourish, racking up 24 points over the final two regular-season games.
