    The German manager went overboard during his pre-match chat ahead of Bayern Munich's Champions League clash against Lazio on Tuesday and admitted he might broken his toe after clashing with the dressing room door.

  • WHAT THOMAS TUCHEL SAID

    At the post-match press conference, the Bayern boss said, "While giving my pre-match address, I made contact with a door and think I might have suffered a broken toe, at least it feels like that. It’s very painful and it’s why I couldn’t stand and sat down during the game. But it’s all good."

    He also spoke to Amazon Prime, where he added, "I received treatment immediately but didn’t have the courage to take off my shoe as I was worried I wouldn’t be able to get it back on."

    The Bavarian club headed into the clash a goal down from the first leg but they managed to stage a turnaround at Allianz Arena as they beat Lazio 3-0 to reach the Champions League quarter-finals courtesy of Harry Kane's brace and a goal by Thomas Muller.
