United's struggles continued with the defeat to the Seagulls, leaving them languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table. The loss has fuelled criticism of Amorim's tactics and the overall direction of the club under Sir Jim Ratcliffe. The Red Devils have just seven wins in the top flight this term.

The aftermath of the dressing room news and the team's poor form will likely lead to more scrutiny for both Amorim and the United hierarchy. The club will need to find a way to address the team's shortcomings and turn their season around, starting in the Europa League against Rangers on Thursday.
