    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The 18-year-old has struggled to secure regular playing time under the Italian coach, prompting him to consider a move away from the Spanish capital. Real Madrid are open to his departure, provided they retain control over his future. A loan or a transfer with a buy-back option seems to be the most likely outcome. The club sees Guler as a potential future star but believes he needs more playing time to develop, preferentially at a Champions League-playing club, which he is unlikely to get at Madrid.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Per the report from SPORT, Serie A heavyweights AC Milan and Inter are keeping tabs on Guler's situation at Real Madrid. They join the likes of Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt, who are also planning a swoop for the 19-year-old playmaker from Turkey.
