The case is expected to drag on for some time as City are likely to appeal against any guilty ruling. Scholes is not worried about the long process, though, as he says the English top-flight will not be devastated by a guilty ruling.
WHAT SCHOLES SAID
"In an ideal world, they (Manchester City’s owners) probably are the best but there’s regulations that you have to keep to," he said on The Overlap podcast, brought to you by Sky Bet. "I don’t think it will be a massive disaster for English football [if City are proved guilty]. It will be bad for the integrity of Manchester City, not the league."
