  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Marmoush has 11 goals and seven assists in just 13 matches this season, which has brought him to the attention of Europe's elite. He has been helped, perhaps surprisingly, by being shown videos of Antony by the Frankfurt coaching staff, according to SportBILD. Antony has a similar playing style to Marmoush and was known, particularly during his time at Ajax, for an ability to find the corners when shooting. The Bundesliga club have shown clips of the Brazilian to Marmoush and have been rewarded, with the forward notably firing into the corners twice against Bayern in a 3-3 draw.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Liverpool are thought to be keen on Marmoush after seeing him star in Germany and have already been in touch with his advisors. The Frankfurt forward is seen as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah who is into the final year of his contract at Anfield. Yet Liverpool may have to battle Manchester United for his signature, with Marmoush contracted to the Bundesliga side 2027 and believed to be a valued at around £50 million (€60m).

  • DID YOU KNOW?

As well as starring in front of goal, Marmoush has also won more ground duels (49) than any other player in the Bundesliga this season.
