Despite his departure from Bayern, Nagelsmann swiftly found himself leading the German national team, succeeding his compatriot Hansi Flick. With his contract set to expire after the European Championships this summer, Nagelsmann could become available for new opportunities in club management.

Although United have shown signs of resurgence under Ten Hag after a lacklustre start to the season, the new co-owners are reportedly not convinced by his methods. And should part-owners INEOS opt for a managerial change at the end of the season, Nagelsmann is thought to be top of that list.
