Harry Kane loses his Tottenham mate! Eric Dier set to leave Bayern Munich for another European club as end of contract nears

The 31-year-old will join the Ligue 1 side at the end of this season, when his deal in Bavaria officially comes to an end. It is understood that Dier's deal with Les Monegasques will run until June 2027, but there is an option to extend.

Dier joined Bayern on loan in January 2024, before permanently signing with the club in March of that year for a reported fee of £3m. The ex-Spurs man has been a regular contributor under both Thomas Tuchel and Vincent Kompany, providing cover at centre-back.

Dier has logged 45 appearances in all competitions for Bayern, and has scored two goals for the club. His most recent effort came in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final defeat to Inter.

Barring an all-time collapse, Dier will win his first major honour as a player when Bayern lift this season's Bundesliga title. It will be the perfect goodbye to his friend and long-time team-mate Harry Kane. The pair have played more than 400 games together for Bayern, Spurs and England.
