Harold & Kumar star Kal Penn kicks off New York Red Bulls' inaugural 'Send the Bulls' event

The event at Sports Illustrated Stadium saw Penn engaging with fans and ringing the bell as part of the club's new initiative to connect with supporters.

This follows teams like LAFC and a few other MLS teams that have managed to combine Hollywood star power as an on-field, pre-game attraction.

After their first home game against Nashville SC on March 1, the New York Red Bulls take to the road next to face Atlanta United on March 9 before returning for back-to-back home games against Orlando City and Toronto FC at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey.
