  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Keane wasn't impressed with United players and staff taking the positives from the defeat to Arsenal on Sunday. Riccardo Calafiori capitalised from Altay Bayindir's mistake to net the winner in the 13th minute, with the Red Devils unable to force an equaliser despite lively performances from new signings Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha. Benjamin Sesko was also introduced as a second-half substitute but couldn't help his side force a late equaliser.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The mental attitude of United's squad has been criticised in recent years, with the likes of Keane often saying their heads aren't in the right place. While there were undoubtedly some positives to take from Sunday's performance as Ruben Amorim looks to improve on last season's finish of 15th in the Premier League, Keane wasn't particularly impressed by some of the post-match conjecture.

  • WHAT KEANE SAID

Speaking on Sky Sports after United's defeat, Keane said: "Overall, I think the game was poor second-half, the expectations at United are so low that everyone's comfortable with a 1-0 defeat.

"It does worry me (that), couple of the new signings, there's a bit of encouragement with that, they get you up the pitch, results will improve - it's always tough against Arsenal.

"But it's another defeat, no goals. There's still that worry, I had it before the match, what we saw, but you never felt like United had two or three goals in them."

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Mbeumo and Cunha were arguably United's best players at Old Trafford, with the pair flanking false No.9 Mason Mount in attack.

United are back in action on Saturday when they travel to face Fulham at Craven Cottage, where they'll hope to pick up their first points of the season.
