The Rossoneri legend, who retired in the summer of 2023, is currently an advisor to the RedBird ownership group at San Siro. He has offered no indication that coaching will form part of his future, with the Swede enjoying life behind the scenes for now.

Former Roma boss Paulo Fonseca is considered to be the leading contender to take over at Milan, allowing him to work with United States internationals Pulisic and Yunus Musah in 2024-25 – with there also the promise of more fresh faces to come in the summer transfer window.
