Coach Zlatan! Could Ibrahimovic become new boss for USMNT star Christian Pulisic at AC Milan after cryptic dugout post from enigmatic Swede?

Christian Pulisic is among those waiting to discover who will be the next manager of AC Milan, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic hinting at being in the mix.

WHAT HAPPENED?
The Rossoneri legend, who retired in the summer of 2023, is currently an advisor to the RedBird ownership group at San Siro. He has offered no indication that coaching will form part of his future, with the Swede enjoying life behind the scenes for now.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Milan have, however, parted company with Serie A title winner Stefano Pioli, leaving them with a seat in their dugout to fill. Various candidates have been linked with that role, but Ibrahimovic has shown that he could be a good fit.
WHAT IBRAHIMOVIC SAID
The 42-year-old, who enjoyed two spells at San Siro as a player, has posted a picture on social media of himself sat on the Milan bench after the club’s final game of the 2023-24 season – with said image accompanied by the caption “4-3-3”.

WHAT NEXT?
Former Roma boss Paulo Fonseca is considered to be the leading contender to take over at Milan, allowing him to work with United States internationals Pulisic and Yunus Musah in 2024-25 – with there also the promise of more fresh faces to come in the summer transfer window.
