Christian Pulisic’s price tag triples: Valuation of USMNT star revealed as AC Milan move to tie top player down to new contract

The United States international was involved in a £58 million ($75m) transfer when joining Chelsea from Borussia Dortmund in 2019. He spent four seasons in England, winning the Champions League, but struggled for form and fitness at times.

That led to his asking price being dropped to £18.5m ($24m) when leaving Stamford Bridge for San Siro in the summer of 2023. Pulisic has rediscovered his spark in Italy, posting personal bests for Milan while becoming a talismanic leader of his country.

Pulisic has hit 15 goals in all competitions this season, needing just one more to post another career-best return. Nine of those efforts have come in Serie A, alongside six assists. His value to the collective cause is set to be recognised with the offer of a new contract.

Those terms will reportedly be worth €5m a year, pulling him in line with Milan’s top earner, Portuguese forward Rafael Leao. Another year will also be added to his current terms, taking Pulisic through to at least 2028.

Milan are eager to fend off any interest in Pulisic, with a return to the Premier League having been mooted. Gazzetta dello Sport claims that his valuation is now back up to where it was when signing for Chelsea, with the 26-year-old considered to be worth as much as €65m (£55m/$71m).
