AFPTHE BIGGER PICTURE
In order to improve on last season, Valencia have signed the likes of Dani Raba and Julen Agirrezabala, and wanted Victor to bolster the attacking unit. However, they would now have to search alternatives, with Barca's demands not favouring the club's transfer strategy.
