After months of uncertainty, U.S. international Timothy Weah sealed his long-awaited move from Juventus to French giants Olympique de Marseille. The 25-year-old winger returns to Ligue 1, where he started his career as a member of OM rival Paris Saint-Germain, on a reported loan with an obligation to buy deal - according to the Athletic.
The outlet says the move will have an $1.7 million upfront fee and then has an additional obligation of $15.1 million, along with potential add-ons of $3.5 million.
"Timothy Weah has a passion that doesn't dazzle, but lights his way with humility and determination. Far from being in the shadows, he has become a discreet light in his own right, determined to make a name for himself. Welcome to Marseille, Timothy!" OM's official website said of the move.
During his two years at the Old Lady, Weah made 60 league appearances, scoring five goals while playing numerous positions for the Serie A giants.
