Aperçu PAOK Thessaloniki FC B

Erik ten Hag has officially taken his name out of consideration to become the new Netherlands head coach following Ronald Koeman's departure. The former Manchester United manager insisted he remains completely committed to his current project as technical director at FC Twente, leaving the Dutch Football Association (KNVB) to look elsewhere for a saviour.

Twente have reached an agreement to sign experienced Netherlands international striker Wout Weghorst on a two-year contract following his departure from Ajax. The high-profile free agent represents a major coup for incoming technical director Erik ten Hag, who previously managed the physical frontman during a short loan spell at Manchester United.

Erik ten Hag has publicly confirmed his desire to bring free agent Wout Weghorst to FC Twente ahead of the upcoming Eredivisie campaign. However, the Enschede outfit face stiff continental competition for the veteran striker, with Portuguese heavyweights Benfica positioning themselves to lure the former Manchester United loanee to Lisbon.

FC Schalke 04 are reportedly weighing up a move for Ajax Amsterdam striker Wout Weghorst.
