Key players to watch as Gor Mahia take on Leones Vegetarianos away

K’Ogalo is carrying a two goal lead from the first leg battle and will need a draw of any kind to progress in the Caf competition

  1. #1 Boniface Oluoch

He is the last man in defence and has played in many Champions League matches while at Tusker and Gor Mahia. Oluoch has seen it all and his experience will be vital to ensure his team progresses to the next round. What he should do is to command his line well, and ensure he does not give the opponents any chance to score.

  2. #2 Haron Shakava

If there is one player, who is extremely ambitious, then it is Shakava, call him the new Sheriff in town. So far, he has led his team to three victories in as many competitive matches, after being named the captain! Shakava is hungry to steer his team to the group stages of the competition and he knows, he has to defend well to ensure the opponents do not get even a single goal.

  3. #3 Ernest Wendo

All hopes literally will be on this man! He is the anchor man and will have to show that once again. Being the link between the defense and attack, Wendo has to get his calculations right, or else he will risk losing control of the midfield. His partnership with Humphrey Mieno has been good, and this time round, it has to be perfect.

  4. #4 Meddie Kagere

He is the heartbeat of Gor Mahia's attacking department. He was involved in many of his team's good moves in the first leg. His cross led to the first goal, and was a menace all afternoon. If he replicates the same display, be rest assured that K’Ogalo will come back home smiling. His movements, work rate and hunger are second to none.

  5. #5 Francis Kahata

The ‘little’ man is proving his worth for the sixteen-time league champions. His intelligence on and off the ball is a plus to the team. He knows when to pass, dribble and shoot. The chemistry between him and other attackers is doing wonders, and once again this man will be relied on to create chances for his side.
