How to watch the F1 Belgium Grand Prix 2025 in the UK: Weekend schedule, channels & more

From the highs of the British Grand Prix at Silverstone to the lows of two blank weeks without any F1 action. Thankfully, for the adoring Formula 1 fans all over the planet, the driving stars return to track action at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps on July 27 for the Belgian Grand Prix. It's been a momentous season to date, and we are only at the halfway mark of the 2025 campaign. So strap yourself back in and enjoy the high-octane drama as it continues to unfold.

Lando Norris is the man of the moment. Not only did he win his first-ever home Grand Prix when taking the chequered flag at Silverstone on July 6, but he also recorded back-to-back victories for the first time in his F1 career. His Silverstone success meant that he moved within 8pts of his McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, at the top of the 2025 Drivers’ standings. Piastri will be keen to return to the top of the podium in Belgium after winning only one of the previous six races, though he remains a constant threat, having finished in the top-3 in all bar two of the twelve Grand Prix so far this season.

However, you have to go back to 2012 for the last time McLaren celebrated a victory at Spa. Jenson Button won that year from the front row of the grid, after securing his first pole position for three years. It’s been the Hamilton and Verstappen show, though, during the most recent renewals of the Belgian Grand Prix. Hamilton took the honours last year, the 5th time in total he had in Belgium, despite finishing second. The initial winner, George Russell, was later disqualified due to an underweight car. Before Hamilton’s 2024 success, Max Verstappen had sprayed the champagne three years in a row at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

Let GOAL give you all the important information you need ahead of the Belgian Grand Prix, including the full weekend schedule of events and how you can watch and stream all the action live.

The 2025 Belgian Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, July 27, in the familiar surroundings of the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, known informally as Spa. It is located in the Wallonia region of Belgium, in the south of the country.

First held in 1925 and added to the Formula One Championship in 1950, it is one of the most popular races on the calendar. However, it was absent from the schedule for a handful of years due to a number of standoffs, including advertising laws and the Suez Crisis. The Belgian Grand Prix has also been held at circuits in Nivelles and Zolder, but it has been permanently held at Spa since 1985.

F1 TV is the over-the-top streaming package operated by Formula One Management (FOM), the provider of the world feed for F1 broadcasts throughout each season. The service offers commercial-free coverage of all races as part of a single package. Due to rights deals, F1 TV is limited to the countries it is allowed to operate. The service is not available in the United Kingdom, meaning fans hoping to use it would need a VPN to access it and watch the 2025 Belgian Grand Prix.

However, you can still purchase F1 TV in the UK to access bonus content, such as live timing, map and leaderboard features, as well as access to team radios and other statistics. You can also view pre- and post-race shows with in-depth analysis and behind-the-scenes facts.

Additionally, those with NOW TV will be able to effectively draw upon the Sky Sports F1 coverage, too, though their ability to access on-demand replay broadcasts will be limited due to the nature of the package.

How to watch the F1 Belgian Grand Prix 2025 from anywhere with a VPN

If you find yourself unable to view the Belgian Grand Prix locally, you may need a different way to watch the race. That's where using a VPN can come in handy. A VPN is also the best way to stop your ISP from throttling your speeds on race day, by encrypting your traffic, and it's also a great idea if you're travelling and find yourself connected to a Wi-Fi network, and you want to add an extra layer of privacy for your devices and logins. With a VPN, you're able to virtually change your location on your phone, tablet or laptop to get access to race action. Most VPNs, like NordVPN, make it easy to do this.

We highly recommend using NordVPN, but you can also check out our detailed VPN guide for other options.

Frequently asked questions

The first ever Belgian Grand Prix was held at Spa in 1925 and was won by Antonio Ascari in an Alfa Romeo. Argentina’s 5-time F1 world champion, Juan Manuel Fangio, would also win in an Alfa Romeo when claiming the inaugural F1 race in Belgium in 1950.
Lando Norris is the man in form having claimed the chequered flag in both Austria and Britain prior to arriving in Spa. Despite only winning one of the previous six races, Norris’ McLaren teammate, Oscar Piastri, remains top of the standings with an 8pt advantage. While Red Bull are faltering, with only one podium spot since winning the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix in May, Ferrari continue to show improvement and remain second in the Constructors' Championship standings.

The next race on the 2025 Formula One season schedule after the Belgian Grand Prix is the Hungarian Grand Prix (August 3) from the Hungaroring. Oscar Piastri will have fond memories of racing there last year, as he claimed his first Grand Prix victory at the track. However, it’s Lewis Hamilton who tops the all-time Hungarian honours list, by a fair distance. He’s triumphed eight times around the Hungaroring, the most recent of those wins coming in 2020.
