Samuel Chukwueze continues impressive goalscoring form in Villarreal's win

Samuel Chukwueze's goal sealed maximum points for Villarreal in their 2-1 win over Real Betis on Sunday.

After making his debut for Nigeria a week ago, the youngster scored his second LaLiga - two weeks after opening his goal account in the Spanish top-flight - with his second-half effort at the Estadio de la Ceramica.

Santi Cazorla set the 19-year-old up for Villarreal's second goal two minutes after assisting Gerard Moreno for the opener in the 52nd minute.

Chukwueze who was making his third LaLiga appearance fired in a left-footed shot past goalkeeper Pau Lopez to extend the team's dominance as Giovani Lo Celso's 90th-minute effort for Real Betis stood as a consolation.

The triumph ended Villarreal's seven-game winless run in the league and shot them out of the relegation zone to the 16th spot with 14 points from 13 matches.

Next up for the Yellow Submarine is a Uefa Europa League fixture against Rangers on Thursday and the 2015 Fifa U17 World Cup winner will hope to maintain fine form in front goal.
