After a disappointing Leagues Cup run, Los Angeles FC return to MLS action with a trip to Soldier Field to face Chicago Fire in an early Saturday showdown.
While their last two meetings were only friendlies, this marks their first league clash since May 2019, when the sides played out a goalless draw at BMO Stadium.
Chicago Fire recently climbed into the playoff picture with a gritty 1-0 win over New York Red Bulls at home. Meanwhile, LAFC managed to salvage some pride in the Leagues Cup by edging past Mexican giants Tigres 2-1 midweek, though it wasn’t enough to extend their tournament stay.
