The Red Dragons boss is a softly-spoken character away from the dugout, but fans of the documentary series that takes fans behind the scenes at SToK Racecourse know that he can often lose his cool in the dressing room – leading to the air turning blue.

That was certainly the case during Parkinson’s debut season in North Wales, with the experienced coach caught on camera branding his players “fanny f*cking footballers” during a half-time tirade that was intended to make his side more aggressive during the second 45 minutes.

Said clip was edited at the time – as revealed by Paul Mullin in his ‘My Wrexham Story’ autobiography – but the original version has been included in an FX-produced video package that pulls iconic Wrexham and Philadelphia speeches together.

Parkinson was a little calmer during the 2022-23 campaign, as Wrexham barely put a foot wrong in their record-breaking National League title triumph, with the documentary series charting their success – which has been made possible by Hollywood co-owner Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney – now an Emmy Award-winning production.
