Christian Pulisic in a league of his own: USMNT star achieves 20-year first in another season of personal bests at AC Milan

The United States international has grown accustomed to breaking records and making history. Having made the breakthrough as a teenage prodigy at Borussia Dortmund, he became a Champions League winner with Chelsea.

A transfer to AC Milan in 2023 was intended to help Pulisic unlock further potential. He has done just that across a memorable spell at San Siro. The 26-year-old has been posting personal bests in Italy.

His goal-scoring bar has been raised to 17 across all competitions this season, with 11 of those efforts coming in Serie A. Pulisic has also registered nine assists in the Italian top-flight, as he cements his status as a talismanic presence for the Rossoneri.

Pulisic also hit 20 on the goal contributions front last season (12 goals and eight assists). As a result, he has become the only USMNT star in the last 20 years to achieve that feat in Europe’s top five leagues across multiple campaigns.

There is still plenty left for Pulisic to achieve in 2024-25, having already opened his trophy account for Milan, and will be desperate to celebrate Coppa Italia glory when facing Bologna in the final of that competition on Wednesday.
