Plenty of questions continue to be asked of that relationship, with England international Walker having fathered two children with former Love Island contestant Lauryn Goodman. Rows regarding that extramarital affair have generated divorce talk and were said to have delayed Kilner’s move to join her husband in Italy.

Kilner, along with her four children, have now linked up with Walker. The 34-year-old defender, who has joined Milan on loan from Premier League champions Manchester City, made his bow for new employers in a Serie A derby date with arch-rivals Inter.

It was claimed that Kilner skipped that contest, but it is now being claimed that she opted for a “low key entrance” in order to avoid any unwelcome attention. A source has told the Daily Mail: “Annie and the boys were in the stands to support Kyle as he made his first appearance on the pitch. They have spent the weekend in Milan, enjoying family time together, checking out the local hotspots and getting to know the area.

“The focus today was purely on the game and - as such - the family chose a low key entrance into the stadium via the back doors. It was a big day for Kyle, who made a huge impression an explosive first appearance with his new team.

“The media spotlight around their personal life has been intense and not something they invite in, particularly where their children are involved as they want to protect them as much as possible.”

Kilner is said to have travelled to Italy by private jet, as she prepares to give Walker another shot at saving their marriage. An insider has previously told the Mail: “This is a good opportunity to put things behind them and make a go of it as a family unit. It will be a challenge in a new country, but they are willing to give it a go.”

While Kilner is ready to join Walker in his new adventure, it is reported that – with a new multi-million pound mansion about to be constructed – she will remain in the United Kingdom until issues regarding family accommodation in Milan have been resolved.
