Former senior Aston Villa scout Bryan King believes Belgium playmaker Youri Tielemans is already second-guessing his summer departure from Villa Park following a difficult start to life at Manchester United. Liverpool will host Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals, while holders Manchester City take on League One side Bradford City. Fleetwood Town, who knocked Arsenal out on penalties, will welcome Everton or Newcastle United, and Crystal Palace face Sunderland in an all-Premier League tie, with all four games set for the week commencing December 14.

The former Chelsea midfielder would choose Emery over Eddie Howe and Julian Nagelsmann, the two men most often linked with the job, with Michael Carrick still in charge despite leaving the Red Devils 16th in the Premier League.

Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has offered his full support to Gianluigi Donnarumma and Marc Guehi following a difficult week for the defensive duo. The Italian shot-stopper and England international have both faced heavy scrutiny after high-profile errors contributed to City losing their perfect start to the Premier League season against Aston Villa.
