Unsettled Francis Kahata omitted from Gor Mahia squad to face Nyasa Big Bullets

Gor Mahia’s influential midfielder Francis Kahata is closing in on a move to Algeria.

The former FK Tirana midfielder will miss K’Ogalo’s Caf Champions League match against Nyasa Big Bullets as he awaits communication from Club Sportif Constantinois over a possible move to the Algerian league.

Constantinois wrote to Kahata requesting the player to present himself for talks but Kahata opted to follow the right procedure when he directed his suitors to contact the parent club.

With unsettled mind, stand-in coach Zedekiah ‘Zico’ Otieno as excluded Kahata from the squad to face Nyasa Big Bullets. “We will have to do without Kahata for this match. He is a great player, who could have helped us but I have given him time to go sort out his transfer issues and I know we have equally good players, who can effectively fill the void,” caretaker coach Otieno told Goal.com.

Also missing from the list are Burundian right back Karim Nizigiyimana and Ivorian Ephrem Guikan, whose names are yet to be submitted to Caf.
