Four teams battle for a spot in the 2021-22 UEFA Champions League final.

The elimination of the likes of Chelsea, Atletico Madrid, and Bayern Munich from the quarter-finals this term has shocked many as Manchester City take on Real Madrid and Villarreal look to upset Liverpool.

Pep Guardiola's City defeated Atletico Madrid by a goal in the quarters, as Los Blancos knocked out Chelsea in dramatic fashion 5-4 on aggregate. Whereas, after eliminating Bayern and Juve, Unai Emery's Villarreal won't have it easy against Liverpool who ousted Benfica 6-4 on aggregate to get this far.

From when to when are the Champions League 2021-22 semi-finals?

The first legs of the 2021-22 Champions League semi-finals will take place on April 26 and 27, with opportunities presented there in which to put one foot into the final.

Return dates are pencilled in for May 3 and 4, with those contests ultimately determining who goes forward to take a shot at landing the ultimate prize.

The final due to be staged at Stade de France in Paris - following the decision to strip the Gazprom Arena in St Petersburg of hosting rights - on May 28.

It is worth noting that the away goals rule is no longer used in elite European competition, meaning that any ties which finish all square on aggregate will go to extra-time and penalties if required.
