The former Real Madrid and Manchester United star splashed out to treat his beloved mother, Maria Dolores Aveiro, for her 69th birthday on New Year's Eve. Ronaldo gifted her a new Porsche Cayenne to mark the occasion, and she was moved to tears after being shown to the car by the Al-Nassr striker's son Cristiano Jr.

Ronaldo flew in to see his mother from Saudi Arabia in the middle of the night in order to make it to Madeira to celebrate her birthday on December 31. Images were then shared across social media by his sister Katia Aveiro when he gifted Maria Dolores the new car, which left the entire party stunned.

Katia also praised Ronaldo for his kindness in a message to her Instagram followers, stating: "If she is happy, it is because her son remembers her and not because of the value of the gift. Honor your father and your mother and your days on earth will be long."

Ronaldo can now enjoy a short break away from football with his family, with his Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr not set to play again until early February, when they will ace off against Al Feiha in the AFC Champions League. The 38-year-old centre-forward finished 2023 with 54 goals for club and country after scoring in Al-Nassr's final Saudi Pro League outing against Al-Taawoun.
