The 25-year-old defender has become another marquee addition at Meadow Park, with the United States international completing a move to England from the North Carolina Courage. She brings with her plenty of pedigree, having earned 39 senior caps for her country.

Fox was thrown straight into action by Arsenal boss Jonas Eidevall for a FA Women’s Cup fourth round clash with Watford. She played the full 90 minutes in that contest, with the north London heavyweights enjoying a comprehensive 5-1 win.

Arsenal supporters are delighted to have Fox on board, as they look to chase down major honours on multiple fronts, and have pieced together a terrace chant for their American star. Said song, which is sung to the tune of an iconic track from Kim Wilde, goes: “Emily Fox from America, woah, what a sight to see her in red.”

The Gunners will be hoping to see plenty of Fox in red over the coming weeks and months, with her ability at right-back helping to make Eidevall’s side even more formidable. Arsenal have assembled a collection of international superstars in Borehamwood, but Fox is the only American on their books – with Kaylan Marckese out on loan at Bristol City.
