VIDEO: Alisha Lehmann showcases singing voice in TikTok trend – with Aston Villa’s WSL stars jumping on the ‘I think I like this little life’ bandwagon

The song, from emerging singer-songwriter Cordelia, has gone viral on social media – with the #ithinkilikethislittlelife hashtag being used well over 450 million times. Superstars from the WSL form part of that surge, with their own compilation video being posted online.

Swiss star Lehmann has shared that production, with her take on the running gag figuring alongside efforts from club colleagues such as England international Rachel Daly. Some Villa stars put in more effort than others, but at least everybody is giving it a go.

The ‘I think I like this little life’ trend took off towards the end of 2023, as users initially posted videos of themselves enjoying everyday moments in idyllic locations. It quickly morphed from serious to jovial, with posters taking to bursting into song in a bid to surprise those that they were with. In a second wave, users now exaggerate the intonation when the singer’s voice lifts on the first word of the now famous line.

Lehmann is likely to have done plenty of singing over the last few days, as – with Villa in WSL action last Friday – she has been enjoying glitzy birthday celebrations. She turned 25 on January 21, with partner Douglas Luiz – who forms part of the men’s squad at Villa – joining friends and family at a lavish party.
