The Netherlands and Morocco internationals have spent much of the summer being linked with moves to Old Trafford. It has taken until the middle of August for an agreement to finally be reached, but both are now travelling to England.

De Ligt has been filmed arriving at Munich airport with a suitcase in hand. He admitted to the waiting media that “Noussair is waiting for me” as he made his way inside the terminal. New challenges in the Premier League are now ready to be embraced.

According to Sky Deutschland, De Ligt and Mazraoui will undergo medicals in Manchester on Monday. Once those physical tests have been completed, contracts can be signed. Personal terms have already been agreed, with Dutch centre-half De Ligt set to pen a deal through to 2029 that includes the option for a further 12-month extension.

De Ligt will be linking up with former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag at United, while Mazraoui also spent time working with the Red Devils’ current manager during his own spell in Amsterdam. They are joining the Premier League giants in a combined deal that will be worth around €70 million (£60m/$76m).
