In the second minute of the first of two pre-season friendlies with the Spanish side at Anfield on Monday, the 16-year-old picked the ball up on the halfway line and drove 30 yards before curling a delightful effort into the corner. 

The forward made his Liverpool debut in the FA Cup earlier this year and was included in Arne Slot's squad for their pre-season tour to Hong Kong and Japan this summer, where he scored in their 3-1 win over Yokohama F.Marinos. The teenager will be eyeing more first-team opportunities next season and goals like this certainly won't hurt his cause.

Following Ngumoha's opener, Darwin Nunez, an Alex Padilla own-goal and Harvey Elliott put Liverpool 4-0 up inside an hour before Gorka Guruzeta claimed a 76th-minute consolation. The Reds face Athletic Club again, this time at 20:00 BST on Monday, for the second warm-up game.
