Fulham's rehabilitation project goes on! Man City youngster James McAtee latest transfer target following success with Arsenal duo Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson

Fulham have had great success signing unwanted players with a point to prove from other Premier League sides to turn them into a side challenging for Europe. The Cottagers are now looking to bring McAtee to Craven Cottage with the English midfielder growing frustrated at a lack of minutes at the Etihad, as per the Daily Mail. McAtee was one of the few shining lights in a dismal Sheffield United side last season and may have been expecting a few more minutes this campaign. A move to Fulham in January could provide that opportunity.

The Cottagers' stand-out players this season have all come from other Premier League sides. They have signed Emile Smith Rowe, Bernd Leno and Reiss Nelson from Arsenal, Alex Iwobi from Everton, Raul Jimenez and Adama Traore from Wolves, Andreas Pereira from Manchester United and Harry Wilson from Liverpool in recent years, with each signing a success. Under Marco Silva's guidance, Fulham have climbed to ninth and are firmly in the hunt for European football.

McAtee scored three goals and registered three assists in 30 Premier League games for Sheffield United last season. This term, he has only appeared four times in the league for City and cannot get a look in - despite their wretched form.

Fulham welcome Ipswich to Craven Cottage on Sunday afternoon hoping to go level on points with Aston Villa and just four points off rivals Chelsea in fourth. Their famous victory at Stamford Bridge last month underlined their success this season and may be enticing for McAtee.
