'Focus on yourself' - Dominik Szoboszlai makes Arsenal admission as Liverpool look to secure Premier League crown with win over Leicester

Liverpool are just two wins away from bagging their record-equalling 20th English top-flight title as they are all set to face relegation-threatened Leicester City at King Power Stadium on Sunday. They could even seal the title with a win against the Foxes, provided Arsenal lose to Ipswich Town earlier in the day. A win for the Reds will also confirm the Midland club’s relegation back to the Championship.

Ahead of the two important Premier League matches, Szoboszlai chose to focus on their own game as he refused to think about what the Gunners do in their match. The Hungarian also hailed the team's hard work as a unit, which has helped them to perform consistently in the Premier League throughout the 2024-25 campaign.

Speaking to reporters, the 24-year-old said: "I think it’s going to be a huge moment for everyone, but we have two games [wins] to go. I think it’s very important to be just calm, focus on Leicester [and] don’t even think about what Arsenal does. You have to focus on yourself because it is in your own hands and you have to be happy that it is only in your hands [and] you don’t have to focus on other teams to lose or draw. We have to be focused on every game for 90 minutes."

He added: "It’s good because we have worked so hard for the whole season to get to this point. And everybody was involved somehow – from the players, from the staff, from the fans, from the city, from everybody. (It’s been) Unbelievable. “Ups and downs: being first in the Champions League group stage and then [going] out against Paris [Saint-Germain], went to the Carabao Cup final [and] lost against Newcastle. Two games to go to win the Premier League. Ups and downs, but it was really good."

Even if the Reds fail to seal the title at Leicester, they will have the golden opportunity to clinch the Premier League trophy at Anfield on April 27 when they take on the Gunners' fierce rivals, Tottenham.
