Cristiano Ronaldo basks in 'special night with the family' as Al-Nassr star shows off his latest award alongside Georgina Rodriguez and teenage son

Ronaldo was awarded the Best Middle East Player award at the Globe Soccer Awards and was also given a honorary award to celebrate him becoming the highest official goalscorer of all time. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner made a number of comments during the awards gala taking on the authenticity of the prize given to the best player in the world and also claiming that the Saudi Pro League was better than Ligue 1.

Ronaldo made his way to the Globe Soccer Award ceremony with partner Georginia Rodriguez and his eldest son Crisitiano Jr. The Portugal captain posted a photo on Instagram with the two and captioned the photo: "A special night with the family."

Ronaldo and Rodriguez have been together for over eight years and the pair share two children together. The pair are reportedly not married officially, but Ronaldo has referred to Georginia as his 'wife' before, and did so again during his acceptance speech.

He said: "It’s a big pleasure to win this trophy. My oldest son is here, my wife [Georgina] is here. She’s my lovely support all the time to carry on to play. In one month I’m gonna be 40 years old but I’m not finished yet. I will continue because I want to win titles, I want to be a champion, I want to score more goals, I want to try to win for the national team."

The Portuguese superstar will be back in action when Al-Nassr return to action against Al-Okhdood on January 9 when the Saudi Pro League returns to action.
