  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The Leicester City forward has set herself the lofty goal of playing for her national team and the Catalan giants in her career, following in the footsteps of the likes of Bronze, Keira Walsh and Toni Duggan. In an interview with Megan Feringa of the Athletic, Las explained that she has already completed her 'to-do list' that she made after making her senior debut by training with the first team regularly, making her WSL debut and scoring her first senior goal in the space of a month. She now wants to buy her mother a white Porsche car on the way to completing her footballing dreams.

    WHAT LAS SAID

On her career goals, Las said: "My dream was to play for Barcelona and England. I want to be like Lucy Bronze, better than her, even. When I make it, I want to buy my mom her dream car [a white Porsche], her dream house. Without her, I wouldn’t be where I am today."

Scott Chickelday, a coach for some of England's elite men's and women's players, added on Las' progress: "I've been in the women’s game for six or more years. I’ve seen the growth. Players like Nelly don’t come along often. In the men’s game, we make a fuss about top talent coming through the ranks. Why not the women’s game?"
