Alisha Lehmann picks EA Sports FC 25 Team of the Year! Who makes the cut alongside Jude Bellingham, Lamine Yamal & Trent Alexander-Arnold?

Voting has opened when it comes to piecing together a star-studded cast of the best performers from the first-half of the 2024-25 campaign. Unsurprisingly, superstars across Europe - from the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 – figure prominently.

Lehmann, who was gifted a personalised version of FC25 by EA Sports following the release of the latest instalment in the popular gaming franchise, has been asked to make her choice when it comes to the top players in the men’s game.

Ballon d’Or winner Rodri gets the nod in midfield, while the man he beat to a prestigious Golden Ball in 2024 - Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior - is also included. Barcelona’s teen sensation Yamal makes the XI, as does England international Bellingham. Manchester City striker Erling Haaland leads the line.

Liverpool full-back Alexander-Arnold, who is seeing a move to Madrid speculated on, makes the grade in a back four that also includes AC Milan left Theo Hernandez and a centre-half pairing of Blancos ace Antonio Rudiger and Gleison Bremer of Juve. Bayern prodigy Jamal Musiala completes the midfield and World Cup winner Emiliano Martinez of Aston Villa and Argentina lines up in goal.

Lehmann is unlikely to make the women’s selection for EA Sports, but the 25-year-old has been among the goals again of late and will be hoping to take her game to greater heights in Italy. She may soon be left in Turin by boyfriend Douglas Luiz, with the Brazilian seeing a January return to the Premier League speculated on.
