Abdeslam Ouaddou, Orlando Pirates

Ex-Pirates star backs Ouaddou after Sibisi-Seema decision & explains why the Buccaneers will upset Lupopo

The Buccaneers arrived in Lubumbashi with an impressive record of clean sheets in eight consecutive matches. But the Moroccan coach decided to tweak things at the back, and it backfired after what some might describe as trying to fix what was not broken. That left the Soweto giants with an insurmountable task of overturning the heavy defeat they suffered in the DR Congo.

Rhulani Mokwena, MC Alger 16-9

MC Alger test for Mokwena’s ambitions heats up

The South African tactician is unbeaten in Algeria’s top flight and finally winning over fans and media. But this week brings a defining double-header: a league clash and a CAF Champions League decider. Two wins could elevate his comeback. Anything less, and his North African ambitions may be paused.

Hugo Broos, Bafana Bafana

Former Pirates & Sundowns captain makes sensational prediction that Bafana 'can win the 2026 World Cup'

South Africa return to the global football stage for the first time since 2010 when they hosted the tournament. But they had successfully passed through a qualification campaign when they made it to the 2002 Korea/Japan edition. They now head to North America, and a former Buccaneers skipper is convinced they have what it takes to conquer the world.

Frequently asked questions

Apart from the UEFA Champions League final, you cannot buy tickets for the Champions League directly through UEFA itself.

Instead, they are sold club-by-club among the teams competing in this year's edition. You must visit the individual club’s website for the fixture you want to attend and buy your seat from there.

Capacity is always limited for these Champions League knockout matches, and demand often exceeds available allocation.

In addition, fans can purchase seats on the secondary market. StubHub is one of the leading retailers for those seeking to buy tickets through alternative channels.

The Puskás Aréna in Budapest is staging this year’s Champions League Final on Saturday, May 30 at 8 pm (GMT).

It was opened in 2019 and has a 67,215-seat capacity for international matches. It is the largest stadium in Hungary, built on the site of the former Ferenc Puskás Stadium.

As well as being the home of the Hungarian national team, the Budapest venue hosted a number of games during Euro 2020 and the 2023 UEFA Europa League Final.

This is the first time a UEFA Champions League Final will be played at the Puskás Aréna.
