The Buccaneers edged past Polokwane City with a hard-fought 1-0 win on Wednesday, 22 October, climbing to third on the Premier Soccer League table. The Sea Robbers secured maximum points in a tense midweek clash as they build momentum ahead of Saturday’s crucial CAF Champions League second preliminary round return leg.

Hosting Polokwane City at Orlando Stadium, Orlando Pirates dominated large spells of the match and carved out several chances to extend their lead. Despite their attacking intent, it was Tshepang Moremi’s early strike that proved decisive. The Buccaneers held firm to secure a narrow 1-0 win and all three points.
