Manchester United wrapped up one of the summer's standout African deals on Friday.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano wrote on his account on the "X" network: "Breaking.. Brighton player Carlos Baleba will move to Manchester United.. The deal is done".
He added: "There is already a verbal agreement between the two clubs.. An improved offer was sent today after the previous offer of £65 million was rejected, and the player is preparing to join the only club he wanted".
Romano continued: "Baleba will be a new Manchester United player very soon".
The expert went on: "The value of Carlos Baleba's transfer to Manchester United is £65 million plus £5 million in add-ons".
His conclusion: "The Cameroonian midfielder has been granted permission to travel from Brighton, as Manchester United has booked an appointment for the medical during the weekend".
