Dylan Kerr: scouts inquire on four Gor Mahia players after Everton friendly

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has revealed that four players impressed the scouts during the friendly against Everton on Tuesday.

The Kenyan champions failed to march the Toffees as they succumbed to a 4-0 defeat in a historic friendly played at Goodison Park in Liverpool. Substitutes Broadhead Nathan and Oumar Niasse scored twice in as many minutes to add the gloss on a superlative Everton display after Ademola Lookman and Kieran Dowell had struck in the first half.

The Briton coach has now told Goal that already scouts have enquired about four players, who were outstanding in the friendly.

“Yes scouts have already enquired about three players which is good, no actually four players, I had a message this morning from a scout, who is interested in another player so here we have four players noted by scouts and that is a good thing for Gor Mahia but let’s wait and see what happens.”

Kerr also admits that Gor Mahia did not deserve to lose by a 4-0 margin. “Nobody wanted that result, 4-0, it was a bad result but we marched them, they never caused us many problems like I thought, we defended very well and also missed our top striker Jacques Tuyisenge which did not help.

”I don’t think we got hammered, we gave them a few scares and should have scored a couple of goals and we didn’t because we were unlucky, and nobody really troubled my goalkeeper and when you look at the list of the players, they have, I must thank my players because they put up a good show.”

Gor Mahia used the friendly to prepare for the new season that kicks-off on December 8.
