Kylian Mbappe scored from the spot to restore parity and spoil the Magpies' party. The penalty decision did not go down well with Newcastle legend Shearer, who called out the "disgusting" officiating on social media.

    Magpies manager Eddie Howe was utterly disappointed with the outcome of the game as he blamed home fans at Parc des Princes for putting "extreme pressure" on the officials that resulted in the controversial penalty decision. The 1-1 draw has now left Newcastle's hopes of progression on a knife edge.
