Man Utd star Alejandro Garnacho's brother takes aim at Cody Gakpo in brutal jibe at Liverpool star and incoming boss Arne Slot

The Merseysiders look set to replace Jurgen Klopp with Feyenoord boss Slot at the end of the season after agreeing a compensation package with the Eredivisie side. The move does not appear to have impressed Roberto Garnacho who has taken aim at the Reds, and forward Cody Gakpo in particular, in a brutal post on social media.

He wrote on X: "They acc (actually) think this bald can make Gakpo run faster."

Gakpo has admitted he came close to signing for Manchester United before joining Liverpool in January 2023. The forward has played 32 times in the Premier League this season, scoring six goals and contributing four assists for the Reds. However, the Dutchman has failed to score in his six last matches in a run of games that has seen Liverpool dumped out of the Europa League and lose ground in the Premier League title race.

The Reds are set for a summer of major change with Klopp departing after almost a decade in charge and Slot expected to take over. There is also growing speculation about Mohamed Salah's future at the club, particularly with the Egyptian heading towards the final year of his contract at Anfield.
