Real Madrid plan shopping spree! Los Blancos want Trent Alexander-Arnold and two more Premier League stars as part of new era

According to The Independent, Madrid want to sign Manchester City midfielder Rodri, Liverpool right-back Alexander-Arnold, and either Arsenal defender William Saliba or Tottenham centre-back Cristian Romero.

The report adds following the summer signing of Kylian Mbappe, Madrid started a new era where they are willing to assert their financial power. That could see them swoop for Rodri, who is believed to be keen to return to his native Spain eventually. Alexander-Arnold was linked with Los Blancos for much of the summer but a move came to nothing. However, with him out of contract in 2025, a switch to the Liga side could be a possibility.

Both Saliba, 23, and Romero, 26, have become key players in their respective north London teams; with the defensive duo currently contracted to the summer of 2027. It remains to be seen if Madrid will try to recruit one of them.

While Los Blancos prepare for the future in terms of transfer signings, Carlo Ancelotti's team begin their Champions League title defence - in the newly revamped competition - at home to Stuttgart on Tuesday night.
