Tottenham boss Thomas Frank says star duo Micky van de Ven and Djed Spence have apologised to him after snubbing the head coach following Saturday's loss to Chelsea. In the wake of the 1-0 defeat, Frank encouraged his players to do a lap of the pitch and thank the fans but Van de Ven and Spence were captured on film giving the Dane the cold shoulder. Now, they have shown remorse for their actions.

Thomas Frank attempted to assuage concerns over Tottenham defenders Micky van de Ven and Djed Spence by saying their decision to snub him after the dire derby defeat against Chelsea was only a “small issue”. Both players headed straight down the tunnel following their side’s poor performance on Saturday evening, bypassing their manager in the process.

Thomas Frank claimed that Micky van de Ven's goal against West Ham did not count as he explained what he really demands from the Dutch defender. Tottenham outclassed West Ham 3-0 in the Premier League on Saturday to move up to the second position in the table, tied on nine points with rivals Arsenal, who are ahead on goal difference.

Injured Spurs star James Maddison took to social media to vent his frustration at the quality of refereeing in his side's London derby against rivals West Ham. The attacking midfielder was reacting to the decision to rule out Cristian Romero's goal for a foul by Micky van de Ven. Maddison also took aim at the officials for their start to the new season.

Thomas Frank has explained how Micky van de Ven gave him "goosebumps" during Tottenham's 2-0 win over Manchester City.
