Chelsea are hoping to negotiate a bargain ÂŁ25 million ($33.7m) transfer fee with Manchester United for their out-of-favour winger Alejandro Garnacho before the summer transfer window closes. Garnacho is in Ruben Amorim's 'bomb squad' after his fallout with the manager following the Europa League final loss to Tottenham last season.
Manchester Unitedâs handling of Alejandro Garnachoâs uncertain future has come under scrutiny, with William Gallas warning that the Red Devils could be forced into a deal they do not want if they drag negotiations on until the end of the window. Chelsea remain the wingerâs preferred destination, but Tottenham Hotspur have now been tipped to enter the chase.
Ruben Amorim has made it clear Manchester Unitedâs âbomb squadâ players must take responsibility for securing their own exits before the transfer window closes. With Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia still on the fringes of his squad, the Red Devils boss admitted it is 'not a good thing' to carry unsettled players into the new season.
Bayern Munich made an audacious move to snatch Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho away from the Chelsea, who remain favourites to land the Argentina international following his public falling out with Ruben Amorim.
Chelsea have wasted no time in turning down Borussia Dortmundâs latest offer for Carney Chukwuemeka, with the proposal labelled âinsultingâ by the club. The Blues are prioritising player sales to make room for top targets Xavi Simons and Alejandro Garnacho, and have fielded interest from several other clubs for the unwanted 20-year-old midfielder.
Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly turned down the chance to bring Manchester Unitedâs controversial winger Alejandro Garnacho to north London. Both clubs carried out extensive âdue diligenceâ on the Argentine before deciding to pursue other attacking targets. The verdict was clear: despite Garnachoâs raw ability, the baggage that comes with him outweighed the potential upside.
