Despite the result, one Iraq player came out of their World Cup Qualification game with Saudi Arabia with his head held high.
With the ball rolling towards the back of the net, the defender threw his body in the way and hooked it away, with a matter of millimeters the difference between play continuing and a goal.
The player, the hero, the legend - Ahmad Ibrahim Khalaf - was only such for a short time, however, as Saudi Arabia went onto win the game 1-0.
