The England man became Spurs's all-time Premier League goalscorer after two goals against Everton on Saturday and his strike partner is full of praise

Harry Kane became Tottenham Hotspur’s all-time record Premier League goalscorer after netting twice against Everton on Saturday and his strike partner Son Heung-min hopes there are plenty more records in sight for the Englishman.

Kane scored Premier League goals number 97 and 98 at Wembley to move ahead of Teddy Sheringham at the top of the Spurs list and also became only the third player to score 20 goals or more in four consecutive seasons following Alan Shearer and Thierry Henry.

Son’s contributions were also well received on the night as he scored the opener against Sam Allardyce’s side as well as providing the assist for Kane’s first in a man of the match performance.

“I am really enjoying playing with Harry,” Son said. “Harry scores goals. Three defenders block Harry but he still scores, that’s why he’s so important.

"The most important thing is our partnership works really good. When I play with him, he beats every record and we are part of this.

“I want to be like this of course but I am happy to help him. I am not selfish, just thinking about myself. I am really happy for Harry.

“I want Harry to break every record for England and in the Premier League.”

Son scored in his fifth consecutive Spurs home game as Mauricio Pochettino's side attempted to put the pressure on Liverpool and the rest of the chasing pack in the top four.

And although he won player of the month twice last season, the South Korea international might well be in the form of his life.

“Form is important but the most important thing is team-mates,” he said. “Without team-mates it’s difficult to play well. They help me a lot, it’s why I play good.

“I’m working hard, just try to help my team-mates if I play. If I’m on the pitch I want to just try to give my best performance every game. If I’m on the bench I want to be ready.

“The coaching staff help me really, really a lot and I’m really thankful for that.”

Son was keen to play up the contributions of the rest of the Spurs squad with Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen also combining for the fourth goal on the night.

“We have all quality players,” he said. “We take care of the ball when we get the ball. It’s not just about me or Harry or Dele or Eriksen."

Spurs face Pochettino’s former club Southampton in their next league fixture and are currently placed fifth, three points behind Liverpool following their 4-3 win over leaders Manchester City on Sunday.
