Martin O'Neill has revealed that Robbie Keane is "concerned" about a knee injury which has ruled him out of the Republic of Ireland's Euro 2016 warm-up friendlies.
Keane linked up with the Ireland squad ahead of friendly games against Switerland and Slovakia, but missed a large portion of training and did not feature in Friday's 1-0 win over Vladimir Petkovic's side.
The LA Galaxy striker, who will turn 36 in July, is also out of Tuesday's friendly with Slovakia and O'Neill indicated that Keane intends to have his problem "looked at".
"I think Robbie is just a wee bit concerned about the injury now," O'Neill told reporters. "He thought it was a kick for a start, he thought it would clear up in a couple of days.
"He just felt that it's sore and it's something that he definitely wants looked at, either here [in Ireland] or going back [to America].

"I''m hoping that is not a major concern at the moment and I genuinely don't think it is, so I don't want to start scaremongering."
Despite the fact that the Ireland captain is unable to take part in the Euro 2016 warm-up games, O'Neill insisted that Keane and Sunderland defender John O'Shea remain firmly in the frame to go to the tournament in France.
"I said this to the lads the other day: if Robbie is 27 then he starts in our team and he is our best goalscorer too, which he has proved," added the former Celtic boss.
"So he is very much in my thoughts for the Euros and the same with John [O'Shea]."
