Paul Pogba is still hunting for a buyer for his lavish Cheshire mansion, in the north-west of England, having slashed the asking price by around 520,000 euros. It is his latest attempt to force through the sale, and it comes as the former Manchester United man searches for a new club to kickstart his career.
The Daily Mail report that Pogba has cut the price from 4.56 million euros to around 4.04 million euros. The property had lingered on the market despite the luxury fittings that make it one of the most distinctive homes in the area.
Pogba bought the place in 2017. It spans around 690 square metres and boasts five bedrooms, a cinema room, a gym kitted out with the latest technology and a treatment room. There is even an indoor football pitch he built to practise his favourite hobby.
All that luxury masks a painful memory for the Frenchman. Burglars broke in during 2022 while Pogba was in Madrid with United, facing Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
His children were asleep inside the house as it happened. Pogba branded the episode the "worst nightmare" his family had lived through, and that night still clings to the property years on.
The sale comes as Pogba tries to open a new chapter after his Monaco spell ended early. Reports suggest a clutch of Major League Soccer clubs are keen to sign him and drag his career back into the spotlight.
