Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been at the top of his chosen profession for some time now, and the Swede reached another notable career landmark on Saturday.

Named in Manchester United’s starting XI for a Premier League clash with Tottenham, the Swede made his 700th club appearance in the Old Trafford fixture.

That tally has been reached over the course of 17 years, with Ibrahimovic having made his senior debut for Malmo (47 appearances) back in 1999.

Since then, the buccaneering frontman has taken in trophy-laden spells across Europe with the likes of Ajax (110), Juventus (92), AC Milan (85), Barcelona (46), Inter Milan (117) and Paris St Germain (180).

Ibrahimovic has lifted league titles in Holland, Italy, Spain and France and will be hoping to add to his silverware haul while on the books at Old Trafford.

The 35-year-old will also be looking for the goals to keep flowing, having netted at a remarkable rate for his various clubs.

A return of better than a goal every other game has seen him find the target 405 times.

He also has 62 goals to his name for Sweden, along with 116 international caps.
