Perez emergence a problem for Dembele


A goalscoring performance by Carles Perez has made Ousmane Dembele's future at Barcelona even more uncertain.

That's according to Marca after Perez helped the Blaugrana to a 5-2 win over Real Betis.

Dembele has been linked with a move away from Catalunya, where he has failed to shine after joining from Dortmund in 2017.

Fenerbahce in for Boateng


Hurriyet in Turkey says that Fenerbahce are working on a loan deal for Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng.

The Germany international has fallen down the pecking order in Bavaria after the summer arrivals of Benjamin Pavard and Lucas Hernadez.

The Bundesliga club would pay two-thirds of the player's wages if he moves to the Super Lig club, according to the report.

Spurs to offer Alderweireld new deal


Tottenham are prepared to offer centre-back Toby Alderweireld a bumper new deal in an effort to keep him at the club.

The Belgium international will be out of contract at the end of the season but Football Insider say the North London side are desperate to keep him.

They're prepared to double his weekly wage to do so, and the 30-year-old will earn £120,00 a week if a deal is done.

Moinca Hickmann close to Madrid CFF move


Brail Women's international Monica Hickmann will play for Madrid next season, according to AS.

The central defender, who has played with Atletico in Spain before will join from Corinthians.

Monica played at this year's Women's World Cup in France, where Brazil were eliminated by the hosts in the second round.

Chelsea invite Exeter's Chrisene to train


The Sun reports that Frank Lampard has invited Exeter City phenom Ben Chrisene to train with Chelsea.

The 15-year-old made his debut for Exeter in the Carabao Cup earlier this season and has attracted interest from Liverpool, Southampton and Bayern Munich.

The midfielder has also trained with the Anfield side, but Lampard is keen for him to follow Ethan Ampadu from Exeter to Chelsea, assuming they can have their transfer ban overturned.

Sampdoria want Villa keeper


Sampdoria are interested in signing Aston Villa's Croatian goalkeeper Lovre Kalinic, according to Il Secolo XIX.

The 29-year-old Croatia international, who featured as the team finished second at the 2018 World Cup, joined Villa in January but could be on his way out less than a year after his arrival. 

Taylor set for Celtic


Kilmarnock left-back Greg Taylor will sign for Celtic this week in a move worth close to £3m, as reported by the Sunday Herald.

Monreal set for Sociedad


Nacho Monreal could leave Arsenal and move to Real Sociedad, according to Mundo Deportivo.

PSG look for Dybala solution


Paris Saint-Germain will seek a solution to the rights issue which prevented Tottenham from signing Juventus striker Paulo Dybala as they step up their interest in the Argentine, according to Calciomercato.

The forward came close to joining the North London club before the summer window closed earlier in August.  

Aberdeen ready to let May leave


Aberdeen striker Stevie May could be on his way back to former side St Johnstone as the Dons are ready to let him leave.

The 26-year-old started his career at the Perth club and has been linked with a return all summer.

Aberdeen were reluctant to let him go and he looked set to stay put, but The Herald reports they have decided they want him off the wage bill, giving the Saints a chance to swoop in.

Colorado Rapids appoint new coach


The Colorado Rapids have confirmed the appointment of Robin Fraser as head coach.

“I’m thrilled to be back with the Colorado Rapids and eager to lead this club forward into what I believe can be a successful period in the club’s history,” the 52-year-old said.

“I consider Colorado to be home, I’ve played here, coached here and I know the soccer community in this state. I’m committed to the club’s vision and I’m excited to work with this strong group of players and especially the nucleus of young, talented players we have at the club.”

Inter reopen Alexis Sanchez talks


Inter have resumed negotiations over a loan deal for Manchester United's Alexis Sanchez, claims the Mirror

The Italians are hopeful of closing a deal within the next 72 hours, although Alexis' mammoth salary has caused problems. 

United are keen for Inter to pay a larger portion of the Chileans' wages before agreeing to an initial 12-month loan.

Dybala's Man Utd move didn't collapse because of me, insists agent


Paulo Dybala's agent insists he is not to blame for the collapse of the Argentina forward's proposed move to Manchester United.

The Juventus star looked to be close to an exit this month as the Old Lady attempted to prise Romelu Lukaku away from United, reportedly offering Dybala as part of the deal.

While a breakthrough initially appeared possible, media reports began to shed light on various apparent issues in the negotiations.

Juventus take Perin off the market


Juventus have turned back on their decision to sell Mattia Perin, Calciomercato claims.

The goalkeeper came close to joining Benfica but the Portuguese side pulled out after he failed a medical.

As the transfer window nears its end, Juventus have decide to hold on to him until at least January.

AC Milan to open Correa talks with Atletico Madrid


AC Milan director Zvonimir Boban will travel to Spain on Monday to open talks with Atletico Madrid over Angel Correa.

The Serie A side have been tracking the Argentine for some time and have decided to make a move for him.

And Marca reports Milan will send Boban to negotiate with the Rojiblancos. While Madrid want €50 million (£46m/$56m) for him, Milan are willing to go as high as €42m (£38m/$47m) but with a promise of 30 per cent of the fee if they decide to sell him.

Barca teen agrees to join Schalke


Schalke are close to signing Juan Miranda from Barcelona, Bild says.

The 19-year-old defender was wanted by the likes of Juventus and Marseille, but it is the Bundesliga side who have turned his head, convincing him to join on a two-year loan.

Rangers join English clubs in Konate pursuit


Rangers are considering a move for Amiens striker Moussa Konate, Courrier Picard reports.

The 26-year-old Senegal international has already caught the eye of teams in England but the Glasgow club are also showing interest.

Konate joined Amiens from Sion two years ago and has scored 21 times in 65 appearances for the French side.

Bayern target Werner signs four-year contract


Timo Werner has dispelled speculation over his future with RB Leipzig by signing a new deal with the Bundesliga club.

The 23-year-old had been closely linked to a move to Bayern Munich, but Leipzig were determined to hold on to him and have convinced him to sign a long-term deal.

Mata not thinking about Espanyol move


Getafe forward Jaime Mata has ruled himself out of a move to Espanyol, saying that he is fully focused on the season ahead with his current club.

According to FootballEspana, the 30-year-old had been identified as a potential replacement for Borja Iglesias, who has left Espanyol to join Real Betis.

Mata scored in the 1-1 draw with Athletic club on Saturday, after hitting 14 league goals last season.

Fiorentina fancy Fred


After completing the signing of Franck Ribery this week, Fiorentina are targeting further reinforcements in the shape of Manchester United midfielder Fred.

According to La Nazione, the Serie A side want to bolster their midfield options and the out-of-favour 26-year-old is seen as an ideal addition.

However, with United having spent big to sign him from Shakhtar Donetsk last summer, it remains to be seen how much of a loss they are prepared to accept if a transfer does go ahead.

Adil Rami in talks to join Fenerbahce


Fenerbahce have confirmed they are in talks to sign Adil Rami on a free transfer.

The French defender left Marseille this summer and arrived in Istanbul on Sunday to open negotiations over a deal.

"French defender Adil Rami will arrive in Turkey today to start talks with our club," a statement read. "We will start transfer negotiations after the player complete his medical."

AC Milan not selling Donnarumma to PSG - Boban


AC Milan have no interest in selling Gianluigi Donnarumma, chief football officer Zvonimir Boban said amid reports Paris Saint-Germain want to sign him.

PSG have long been linked with Italy international Donnarumma as they aim to find a rival for Alphonse Areola, having already waved goodbye to Gianluigi Buffon and Kevin Trapp this summer.

But Milan will not be letting Donnarumma leave any time soon and Boban insists the same goes for Suso and Franck Kessie.

Schick eyeing Bundesliga move


Roma forward Patrik Schick could leave the club for a move to the Bundesliga, according to the Corriere dello Sport.

The Serie A side are reported to be losing patience with the Czech international, after two years showing plenty of promise but without delivering consistently.

The 23-year-old notched five goals 32 appearances in all competitions for Roma last season.

Dybala agent 'not planning Paris trip'


Paulo Dybala's agent says he doesn't know what the future holds for the Juventus forward, but that a move to Paris Saint-Germain isn't imminent.

The Argentine, linked with Manchester United and Tottenham earlier in the window, could be targeted as a possible replacement for Neymar at PSG.

"There are no imminent trips to Paris planned,” Jorge Antun told Tuttosport. “He needs to just enjoy the moment, as we don’t know what could happen in the future.”

Falcao rejects Monaco contract for Galatasaray


Radamel Falcao has rejected the offer of a new contract at Monaco and is intent on leaving the club, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport's Nicolo Schira.

The 33-year-old has one year remaining on his current deal but it remains to be seen whether he decides to see it through or force his way out.

Turkish giants Galatasaray are reported to be monitoring his situation with a view to a move.

'Arsenal have to be realistic with Mustafi'


Suitors put off by €27m asking price

Arsenal have put off potential suitors for Shkodran Mustafi with an unrealistic price tag, according to his father and agent.

Roma and Monaco were reported to be interested in the unwanted defender, but the Gunners apparently demanded €27 million (£24.8m/$30.3m) for him.

Kujtim Mustafi told Sky Germany: "The best for both sides is probably to work on a transfer. But for that it also needs market-driven transfer-fees.”

Torino want Verdi or Berardi


Torino are set to start discussions with Napoli for forward Simone Verdi, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 27-year-old was a bit-part player last season, scoring three goals in 22 Serie A appearances, and he watched Saturday's 4-3 win over Fiorentina from the bench.

If a deal cannot be found, Torino could turn to Sassuolo's 25-year-old wide man Domenico Berardi.

Celtic not freezing out Sinclair


Celtic manager Neil Lennon says he is not freezing out Scott Sinclair, with the winger simply having a lot of competition for a place.

The 30-year-old, once a key player at Parkhead, has barely featured this season and is thought to be frustrated having failed to make the matchday squad in recent games.

Lennon told the Sunday Mail: “If he feels like that, it’s understandable. We don’t want to treat him badly because he’s a senior pro. It’s just that he’s finding it difficult right now to get into the squad. I can’t pick six wingers."

Fenerbahce trailing Marseille's Gustavo


Turkish giants Fenerbahce want Marseille's midfield lynchpin Luiz Gustavo, according to La Provence.

The veteran Brazilian could move for a fee of around €5.5 million (£5m/$6.2m), with the 32-year-old still under contract for two more years at the Ligue 1 side.

Gustavo is a key player for Andre Villas-Boas' side, but is also one of their highest earners, so they could be tempted into a sale.

Fiorentina want Liverpool youngster Duncan


Serie A side Fiorentina have made an offer to take Liverpool youngster Bobby Duncan on loan with a view to buy, claim Sky Sports.

The prolific 18-year-old, signed from Manchester City, is the cousin of Reds legend Steven Gerrard.

Liverpool have already rejected a loan offer from FC Nordsjaelland.

Barca-Bentancur links wide of the mark


Reports emerging from Argentina linking Barcelona with a move for Juventus' Rodrigo Bentancur are wide of the mark, according to Mundo Deportivo.

The 22-year-old had been suggested as a solution to Barca's creativity problems but the club are thought to be satisfied with their options in midfield.

Barca face Real Betis on Sunday evening, hoping to get their first points of the season on the board.

Brescia want Abate to follow Balotelli


Serie A side Brescia are hopeful of completing the signing of former AC Milan right-back Ignazio Abate, reports Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira.

The 32-year-old, currently without a club following the end of his contract at San Siro, is looking for a two-year contract.

He spent 10 years with Milan after joining in 2009, and has also played 22 times for Italy.

Gracia on the edge at Watford


Watford manager Javi Gracia could be the first manager to be sacked in this Premier League season, according to the Daily Mail.

The Spaniard has seen his side lose their first three games, extending their losing streak in all competitions to seven games - including the 6-0 humbling in last year's FA Cup final.

Gracia only signed a new four-and-a-half-year deal last November, and fans have been critical of the club's activity in the summer transfer market.

Luis turned down City and Dortmund for Flamengo


Brazilian left-back Filipe Luis claims he turned down offers from clubs including Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund and PSG this summer.

The 34-year-old instead returned to his native Brazil to sign for Flamengo.

"At the last moment I had three or four proposals in hand, and then you choose," he told Globo Esporte. "But from January to July, I see the clubs that want me and it's a long list. 

"There is this club, but they can't afford you, this other does not want to be champion, so bye. So, a lot of things are happening and at the last minute I closed some important doors, like Borussia, which was a very good offer, but I didn't feel it in my heart."

Djulbic to re-sign at Perth


Veteran centre-half Dino Djulbic is set to re-join Perth Glory after initially leaving the club following the completion of his contract at the end of last season, according to The Covert Agent.

The 36-year-old defender made 22 appearances last campaign as the Glory won the premiership but fell short in the grand final.

He will be expected to fill the breach in the centre of defence opened by the departures of Shane Lowry and Matthew Spiranovic.

Gerrard fears raid on Rangers


Steven Gerrard is afraid of a raid on Rangers, and believes it is possible he will lose at least one of his players before the close of the transfer window.

With reported interest in Alfredo Morelos and James Tavernier, Gerrard admitted: "I predict that a bid will land for one of my players.

"I think you'll see some movement out. There's some offers swirling about for certain individuals, so there will be news broke over the seven or so days that are left. 

"That could happen. There's nothing really solid yet that we have to make a decision on, but it's getting warmer as they days go by, so I predict there could be some outgoings."

Man Utd targeting Leicester's Maddison


Manchester United are planning to make a bid for another Leicester player, targeting playmaker James Maddison, reports the Mirror.

After landing defender Harry Maguire for a record £80 million ($98m) fee, they are ready to return for Maddison, who is thought to fit manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's style.

Monaco land €18m Maripan


Monaco have announced the signing of Chile international defender Guillermo Maripan on a five-year deal from Alaves.

The fee is said to be €18 million (£16m/$20m).

The club welcomed the signing of the 23-cap international, who moved to Spain from his native Chile in 2016.

The Ligue 1 champions are sending a delegation to London to work on a deal

Paris Saint-Germain are preparing to launch a £100 million ($123m) bid for Wilfried Zaha should Neymar depart this window, reports the Mirror.

Neymar has been at the centre of a transfer battle between Real Madrid and Barcelona and PSG view Zaha as a replacement who could excite the supporters should the Brazilian leave.

As a result, the Ligue 1 club are sending a delegation to London in order to see if a deal is possible.

Sanchez loan to be decided Monday


Alexis Sanchez will find out whether he will be able to make a season-long loan move to Inter on Monday, reports the Express.

Manchester United and Inter are in talks over how much of Sanchez's wages will be picked up by the Premier League club. 

Sanchez has agreed a move to Inter and both clubs are believed to want to get a deal done before the transfer window closes.
